Saints Step Up Big In Comeback Win At Home
After being down 5-0 by the end of the 4th inning, the #2 Saints came back to win 6-5 at home
Gainesville, FL- On Wednesday the Saints faced the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Stallions at home after winning both games of their double header on Saturday to South Florida State College. The game entered extra innings tied at five after the ninth. The Saints won 6-5 on a walk-off by Griffin Sorrow.
How It Happened
Starting on the mound was Wyatt Campbell who pitched 5.0 innings, allowing ten hits, two earned runs, and three strikeouts. Nick Davidson, Nick Staszak (three strikeouts), and Colby Rice (two strikeouts) took over on the mound to finish the game.
The leading hitter of the game for the Saints was Wyatt Campbell with three hits, all three being doubles. Following Campbell was Javier Soto with two hits and two RBI's, Anthony Fimiano (two hits), and Grant Gallagher (two hits) with a bunt to score the tying run in the bottom of the ninth.
Leading hitters for the Stallions included C.J. Rose (3 hits), Drew Rothschild (2 hits), and Joe Cooney (2 hits). Joe Cooney also had two RBI's for the Stallions.
The game entered extra innings with Colby Rice on the mound for the Saints. In the top of the tenth, Rice had one strikeout.
Offensively, in the tenth, Wyatt Campbell smacked a double to left field and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Drake Harmon. Griffin Sorrow hit a walk-off to lead the Saints to victory.
The Saints finished with twelve hits and six to defeat the Stallions 6-5 in extra innings.

The Saints will face South Florida State College on Saturday February 10th for a double header, the second time these teams will have faced one another this season. The games will be held at South Florida State College. The first pitch will occur at 12PM and 3PM EST.
