CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College baseball team belted 6 home runs and Dalton Harrell worked 8 innings in the 12-2 game one win over ABAC on Sunday at the Hord Athletic Complex, then Colby Fields tossed 7 innings in the complete game two, 9-3 victory, and the Tiger offense cranked out 13 hits, as Andrew ran its overall record to 27-14-1, and its Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) record to 12-6.
Harrell struck out 7, and limited the Stallions to a pair of runs to pick up his 2nd win of the year, while Kaleb Podger belted a pair of homers, scored 4 runs and drove in 3 runs, JT Whatley went 2 for 5. with a homer and 3 RBI, Jack Hay was 3 for 5, with a pair of runs scored, a homer and 2 RBI, Jonathan Manibusan went 2 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBI, Brayden Eavenson had 2 hits, and scored twice, and Jacob Pierce hit his team-leading 7th homer, as the Tigers won in walk-off, mercy run rule in the 12-2 win.
Fields ran his record to 4-1 on the year with the complete game effort, fanning 4 and scattering 9 hits, in the 9-3 win, Manibusan went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI, Eavenson and Peyton Adams were 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, Hay had a pair of hits, with a double and 2 runs scored, and Podger doubled in his 2 hits, and scored once, as the Tigers also stole 7 bases, to go with their 13 hits.
The Tigers are back at the Hord Complex for a 2:00 pm doubleheader on Tuesday versus Gordon State. The Tigers swept the Highlanders 7-6 & 1-0 on March 20 in Cuthbert.
